Overview

As part of its mission to combat the spread of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) by training the next generation of nonproliferation specialists and to raise global public awareness of WMD issues, the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies has developed a collection of special resources for nonproliferation and disarmament education.

  • Tutorials
    Interactive tutorials help teachers, students, and anyone interested in learning more about nuclear-weapons-free zones, the Treaty on the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons, and radiological, chemical, and biological terrorism.
  • CNS Nonproliferation Databases
    These databases provide the most comprehensive open source data resources in the world on nuclear disarmament, HEU reduction and elimination, submarine proliferation, nuclear trafficking, and other issues related to nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and missile proliferation.
  • WMD 411
    A primer on WMD and on curbing WMD proliferation, as well as case studies, provides authoritative information on the threats from weapons of mass destruction and a range of policy options to reduce those threats.
  • Educational Resources Guide
    This useful educational tool for students, professors, researchers and the general public aims to guide users to the location of educational nonproliferation and related information on the Internet.
  • Syllabi
    A collection of syllabi for courses teaching nonproliferation issues at the university to high school levels.
